Living Healthy

Welcome to the Western School Districtís web site on Living Healthy.

Children spend much of their waking time between the ages of 5 and 17 in the school environment.  Health and physical education classes and the general school environment are an important channel through which good nutrition, physical activity, fitness, and health may be promoted among today's youth.  It is vitally important  for children to be exposed to continuous health-related opportunities and interventions as they proceed to graduation.  This is the best opportunity to reinforce positive behaviors and develop a lifelong commitment to healthy lifestyles.
