2010 marks the fifth anniversary of the Living Healthy Commotion Days.  2010 marks the fifth anniversary of the Living Healthy Commotion Days.  Over the years, schools in the Western School District have participated in a wide variety of events to celebrate an increased focus on healthy eating, physical activity, and smoke free environments.  The Departments of Education and Health and Community Services are once again sponsoring the Commotions this year to be held in the Western School District on Friday, September 24.  A package of resource materials from the Department of Education should be in schools the first week of September.  Other resources and ideas are available on this web site.

  Registered schools will receive financial support once again this year and that support is based on the school population.  To see the amount for your school, please see Funding for Schools on this web site.   To receive funding, schools must complete the online Registration Form on this web site by Monday, September 20.   The Evaluation Form must also be submitted once your Commotion is completed. 

The Commotion is a great way to generate school spirit and get the school year off to a wonderful start.  Consider having members of your Living Healthy School Team coordinate this for your school.    Thank you for taking the time to organize and participate this event.
